Introdution

I would like to write a little introduction about the organization that I am working.

Access Sacramento has as its mision, giving voice to the thoughts, dreams, opinions and community events not otherwise seen or heard on commercial and public radio, television and other popular forms of media.
I am working assisting Bradley Wells, who is the producer of Live Wire tv show.
It is a 30 minutes of arts, entertainment and "live" performance. LiveWire is on air live every wednesday at 5 pm and it is produced at Access Sacramento.
Also, the other project that I am envolved is " A place call Sacramento" , a scriptwriting and short film production project for local writers and producers.
This week we collected all the scripts that Sacramento`s writers sent to us. It was interesting to look at some scripts. Different ideas, topics, but everyone with one purpose. Ten scripts are going to be elected. It was also interesting organizing all the scripts with the aplications because I had the oportunity to read a little about some scripts. It is going to be hard to choose just ten.
Also, I have been working searching for some ideas for the next life wire show, we are in talk with our future guests in the tv show. Probably we will talk about the airspace museum and also this big festival called "Viva la Familia" the bigest latin festival in Sacramento.
Today it was a very very busy day, we had the great news about channel 17 is going to be able to watch it by internet 24 hours, 7 days per week. Because of this reason, we need to inform to all the members about these excelent news. So, we had to send more than 500 hundred letters. So easy but so hard.

About this project

My name is Oscar Herrera, I am from Mexico City.
I have been studying in Sacramento, CA. for 8 months, and I would say it has been amazing.
I started taking ESL classes in Kaplan Institute for tree months, later, because of my goals, I decided to transfer my school and I started to take classes in Sacramento State University. (Napa Hall). My experience in Sac. State has been terrific. You can find nice and qualified teachers who always are going to help you with your goals and some difficulties that you could have.
Classes focus not just in preparing you for the "hated"Toefl test, that everybody wants to pass, but also you are able to learn about culture and some skills about bussiness, marketing, etc.

I have a lot of goals to do in the U.S, and after I finished my levels in Sac. State, I decided to increase my challenges. Proving myself what hard I have worked in my English`s skills, and also having work experience in this country, became my new goal.

Thanks to Sac. State program and Usa Career Start. I can keep working in my goals.
These days I am doing an internship at Access Sacramento, the great organization that I will be writing every day.

The purpose of this blog is having a journal about the things that I do here,
